Dana Dal Bo "Unexpected Conditions"

In "Unexpected Conditions" I have blown up a careful curation of photographs found at the thrifts stores to point to our contemporary fear of loneliness and loss. Each image is titled after a computer error message, an "unexpected condition". The messages (cannot connect to host, disconnected from server, etc.) take on new meaning when juxtaposed with the discarded family photographs. Together they speak about the disconnect, as we move between the analog and digital.
