Jorge Manghi "(Out there) on their own"

Classical sculptures are usually treasured by our society. We display them in museums or carefully selected locations outdoors, in a gesture that evidences our appreciation of their artistic quality and their need to be cared for and preserved.
This logic is interrupted in these images, in which the art objects are located in environments that are strange to their nature. This project pretends to stimulate a reflection about how the setting of an art object can affect our relation with them.
